On the way home from visiting my girlfriend I saw what appeared to be a KC-135. That route takes me near Travis AFB in CA.

Not over my house, but at work in Lewisville, I saw a Continental (I think) 747 outbound from DFW, then, when we went to Fort Worth to see the Star Wars exhibit, we saw a 747SP.  No idea whose it was, as I couldn't see the tail or side.  Only reason I knew it was an SP was the short fuselage.

IIRC, that is a Quantas exclusive, innit?

Also, in Lewisville, I catch quite a few A340s...

I take it you mean QANTAS?  Which aircraft - the 747SP?  If so, no!  QANTAS never used a single one.

Some activity this morning, mostly heard rather than seen, there was a lot of jet noise for a couple of hours.  I saw a couple of Typhoons playing about when I went to do some shopping, taking it turns to pull some very tight maneouvers around each other.  They were pretty high in the sky & it's the first time I've seen Tiffies in my area, woo hoo!  At home a little later on, very breifly saw a Tornado between two houses, banking hard low down.  And yesterday there were those two F-15's again!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

seems to have been a small evening airshow type event at the local Sywell aerodrome. weve had a sea fury orbiting the village for at least half an hour waiting its turn to perform. looked like the RN historic flight bird.

There was a Sea Fury based at Sywell untill a few years ago when she over turned on landing killing her owner/pilot Paul Morgan. She was last reported in the states being rebuilt for her new owner, while the rest of Morgans collection of warbirds was sold off by his widow. His daughter kept his Havard thou, It was doing a few aero's over the village on thursday.

Lost count of the amount of hardware that fly's over/near my house. But then I do live in the TCA zone for Heathrow airport. Also get a lot of light aircraft from Blackbushe airport a few miles uo the road, and last weekend, I thought I saw something that I would swear was a replica Ki84 while I was out waliking the dog. Unfortunately I only had my compact bino's on me and they aren't that good. Next time I'll take my 16X ones with me.

dunno if it had any connection with last nights sea fury sighting, but we had a P-51D over the house today.

Identified that dasher today....Kulry and I saw her flying down river, a bright red CDN surveillance bird, with little bells and whistles hanging off her. Didin't look like it had the big SLAR canoe like it used to have, tho....

A week in the Lake District, and what do I have to show for it?

1 x Hawk, a mile away down in the valley where I was half an hour ago  :banghead:

1 x Hercules (green camo) at about 50 feet which I felt before I heard or saw.  Naturally I was driving down a tree lined road at the time  :banghead:

Where have the RAF gone?  :(

Not so much over my house, but at work the last few weeks the RAAF having been essentially doing beat ups in their new C-17s.  A C-17 coming in at very low level and then roaring over your head is certainly a site to behold!

Well the RAF is still there, but I don't think that they have any effective planes any more.

Just saw an A319 climbing out of Humberside Airport over my house - a rarity as they normally fly off south, not east as this one was.  Was pretty low, but didn't recognise the airline (lots of charters carrying boozed up chavs to Torremelinos)
