A total of four RN Lynx over Weymouth yesterday. The Black Cats were buzzing around at lunchtime, flying close formation over the bay and the town itself. They also had another Lynx along with them, painted with bright red or dayglo orange on various parts. Don't know what it was doing, but it was leading the Cats over the bay, and then pulled a very hard and fast turn to come in behind them. Filming them perhaps? Another Lynx also flew in from the sea later on, heading inland.

The sky has been rather full the last couple of days, but I haven't been able to get many decent photos.  I've never before seen a sky so clear that it messed up the photos, but that appears to be happening.  I've seen MH-60s, an E-2 Hawkeye, C-2 Greyhound and a C-17.  I did get a couple of blurry shots of one of the MH-60s, but it needs to be blown up a bit before I can post it.

Here's the H-60 I was talking about.

I started carrying my camera with me everywhere a couple of years ago.  You just never know when something good might appear.  I got one of those opportunities the week before last, while I was out running errands.  I was out in Suffolk, some twenty miles or so from ORF, when I spotted an airliner flying very low.  While I was pulling out the camera, it dropped its gear and turned back.  I just managed to get this tiny shot.

You can just make out the jet below the traffic pole, between the second and third set of signals.

The actual print is a damn sight clearer than the Photobucket rendition.

Not quite sure what she was doing in this area, but we just had the BBMF's Lanc do a very low level east to west pass right over the house.

Not quite over my house, but at RAF Woodvale (about 2miles from our house) this afternoon, a Navy Lynx, not that unusual, however this one was sporting enormous patches of Dayglo Orange (nose/cabin doors etc) - couldn't tell if it was RN or not, probably connected with the number of warships that are buzzing around the Irish Sea just now.

ALSO

'Bout fifteen minutes ago, a  :tornado: went past the Station here below window level at around 400kts....... Great !
