That seems to be it, Google Maps shows it to be within a couple of miles or so of the A46 where I was driving.  I remember seeing a sign, but couldn't recall the name.  Cheers Ian!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Sheer luck for this one....

Went outside to hold the ladder for the SkyTV engineer while he fixed the dish on our roof and could hear a prop plane roar over nearby. Then it came over the house and I saw it was a Hurricane and the Lancaster of the BBMF!

Looks they were heading for the Clacton Airshow after appearing at RAF Bensons Family Day.

Had a couple of paragliders flying over me at work today. They were riding the wind coming off the sea, and stayed at a couple of hundred feet for over an hour. I have got to try it.

Also a Mk8 Lynx, which gave said paragliders a wide berth.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Three Fulcrums in formation, and later four Su-22 in another formation. I'm living in Poland, near Minsk Mazowiecki (23 air force base).

jeremak: you are very lucky! The Czech MiG-29s had been sold off and theit Su-22s in museums by the time I arrived here five years ago. I've only ever seen Slovak and Hungarian Fulcrums in the time I've been here and I've never seen an Su-22 flying at all.

Anyway....

Yesterday my girlfriend and I were at the local swimming pool and a Robinson R-44 did a couple of circles overhead. A Zlin 242 passed over not long after.

All other aerobatic teams eat your heart out....it's the Golden Hawks ! Well, the Hawk One Sabre, anyway ! She did a few bolters over the Chris Hadfield Airport today, piloted by Chris Hadfield. Flew up the St. Clair River from Windsor. Cool.

She really is beautiful isn't she Todd, I saw her about five weeks ago at the Airdrie Airshow (just north-east of Calgary).  She was flying with the Snowbirds and they all put on a great show.  Unfortunately, my digital camera isn't very good for airshow flying so I didn't take any photos of the flying (has also to do with the missus taking photos of a bunch of cars on display and ran the battery down) and I couldn't find my 35mm camera I usually take to airshows, it's still packed away in a box somewhere.

Hoylake Lifeboat Open Day. They stopped off in Blackpool to top-up the tanks, then on to Hoylake for the 1700 slot. We were watching them from here until a squall came through and reduced the visibility down to less than a-quarter-of-a-mile. Still bad now and it's gusting 30kts. Wouldn't want to be in one of those wee Hawks in these conditions.....

I live on the flightpath to Leeds/bradford airport and on 29/8 a spooky RAF Nimrod R1 did a low pass over our town then did 3 approaches into the airport along with scheduled commercial traffic. i have seen military traffic go in before but not as special as this!! :o

Saw what looked very much like an Aero 45 or 145 fly over town today.

Would be cool if it was, those qualify as vintage aircraft these days as most of the ones flying are restorations.

At one point we had one of Selfridge's DHS/Border Patrol helos fly right over.  It was pretty cool!
