Yesterday I looked up just in time to see a Cessna Skymaster.

A hot air balloon set down on the field in front of our house! It flew off 5 minutes later. Registration was OY-COZ, a Cameron V-77 i think

Saw 2 F15's today and then saw a 757 about 9 or 10 times, i think it was doing touch and goes at Nottingham East Midlands.
Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

A JASDF 747-400 just left KPIT, after arriving this AM, apparently in advance of the G-20 meeting here in a couple of weeks

An old MY locomotive at Roskilde station. The deep rumble the motor torpedo boat diesels was awesome!

Cool shot! Reminds me of a double-ended F-unit; appropriate enough I guess as they share the same prime mover IIRC.

Seen overhead here were a couple of either Pave Hawks or VH-60s (I was driving directly underneath 'em - saw through the sunroof. Again no doubt G20 related

Our tiny Ramona airport had an open house today. They have an amazing "rotary-winged" museum on-site, and plenty of wonderful fly-ins. My house is only a few miles away, so I got to see them when I was at the airport AND while they were goofing-off in the sky. Two T-28 Trojans, a P-51 Mustang and F4U Corsair formed a foursome. LOTS of noisy horsepower!

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Bit of a mini-airshow going on here today, turns out to be the North Weald Community Fly-In which is just ending now. If I'd known 'd have gone along for just £3 entry.  :banghead:

A Gnat screamed over my house an hour ago, probably the display pair.
Just now it was a pair of De Havilland Vampires in close formation right over town.
Apparently a pair of Norwegian F-16s were planned to attend, the RNAF has strong links with North Weald since WW2.

It's a nice little airfield, I went to North Weald when in the UK a few years ago where I attended the annual Air-Britain Fly-In which is held there each year.  Usually it's in August sometime but the year I went it was in September, same weekend as the Duxford air show.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

At around 4:40p.m. this afternoon, a Boeing 767(or a DC-10 as I seen what looked like a 3rd engine at the tail section) flew over my apartment flying in the direction towards the Waterloo Regional Airport.

RAF SAR Sea King, yesterday.  Actually was over my house for once!

Almost forgot about this one, & nowhere near my house in the slightest.  Squirrel Sky 5, taken in Boston in April this year, from the Bunker Hill Memorial.

There's another helicopter that flew very near my house that's proving elusive.  I think it's a Sikorsky S-76 of CHC, but I'm not sure.  I miss a pic every time, either it's too distant by the time I see it, camera isn't ready, or I just get a blob when I take a pic.  Today I heard it in plenty of time, had the camera ready, but it only peaked out of the rooftops for moments at a time.

Dagnamit! :banghead:
