Yesterday as I came home from work, a Super Stallion flew over the house.  I ducked inside and grabbed my camera, and snapped this:

Not exactly "Over my house":

Over in Germany last week visiting the in(out)-laws, walking in the fields outside Schwarbach in the late afternoon, two  :f16:  of unknown nationality at around 1000ft dodging around the hills, appeared to be carrying stores, but were moving so fast - and the light was quite poor - I cannot be certain.

No military airfields or ranges anywhere nearby....

Looking at a map (it is in south germany?), it could be either Danish, Belgian, Dutch, Polish or even Italian or USAF. It could even be a greek or turkish viper returning from exercise in the cold north.

Actually looks slightly different now.

Not quite over my house but my normal routine takes me past Moffet Federal Airfield, right now they have the Kuiper Airborne Observatory C-141 parked outside.

Took me a while to figure out what it was, I had my hopes up thinking it was a civil IL-76

I saw a FEDEX DC-10 or MD-11 (might have even been an L-1011--I couldn't really tell, as I was almost directly under it(Does FEDEX even have an L-1011s?)) on it's way to DFW.  Made me wish I had a camera with a decent zoom lens.

I live right under the flight path that leads from europe to asia, and the middle east to the americas. I recently found a website that provides live radar coverage of denmark, and shows all aircraft above my house (not including MD-80s and general aviation, as well as military). I have been waiting for clear weather for weeks now, and today it was finally good! I saw the contrails outside my window, looked it up on the computer, and dicsovered that it was a Japan Air Lines Boeing 777-300ER!

British Airways A-319-131 G-EUOB just passed over
EasyJet 737-73V G-EZJW about to pass over!

This is fun! ;D

Would anybody know why the Russian State Transport A-319 is headed down to western europe each day?

Yesterday a Czech Goverment Airbus A 319-100 yesterday. Spotted it with radar, and thereafter with mk.1 eyeball

A bit of activity over our York campus today, several GA types, one came fairly low & was definately a Piper Cherokee/Warrior.  Several of them seemed to be follwing a similar flight pattern, there was some heavy flooding in York last week so I'm guessing they were surveying it's extent, it's still not receded much in some places.  The North Yorkshire Police Squirrel was following a similar route & came in pretty close as I was leaving.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Saw a Piaggio P.180 Avanti winging over town against a lovely sunset today. Couldn't tell if it was military or civil (civil most likely) but the silouhette was unmistakable.

That is one exceedingly sexy turboprop and I wish someone would do her up in styrene in 1/72 someday.
