Confuscious (maybe)

Pretty boring here by comparison...just the local RJs but I do like it when they do a left base for runway 29, so they pass by so closely.

Now that the official NFL season is starting, the aircraft that transport the teams that are playing the Green Bay Packers will make their appearances. Usually the opposing team flies into KATW and the team stays in Appleton, WI the night before the game. Then they are whisked away afterwards out of the airport at Green Bay. The first home game is against the Vikings..which is close so I suspect they will fly direct to GB the morning of the game.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Captain Canada

Those dump and burn pics are awesome ! What a treat !

Saw a pair of F-16s, and a red and white Tiger Moth on Saturday. What an attractive little aeroplane.....

Saw this beauty today at the beach. Looks like the sniffer variety. Odd that it doesn't carry any reg under the wings.

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!

That's an interesting Twin Otter Todd,  what do you think it's sniffing for?
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Back in the mid seventies there was a modified Convair that was used to sniff for air pollution around St Louis Missouri. It routinely stayed at Scott AFB, IL.

Driving home from work today, I saw the Obama-plane shoot a landing at the nearby airport. It looked like it was only 100 feet above me as it came in. It's got a big "O" logo on the tail. Unfortunately, I was driving at the time and couldn't snap a photo.

P.S. I've also seen Air Force One land at the same Air Guard base as well as the weekly "ConAir" flight. I bet the in-flight movie on ConAir is always Cool Hand Luke.

I'm being somewhat tortured today. There's an airshow this weekend here in Brno and I'm hearing all kinds of jet noise overhead but seeing nothing!

Yesterday while I was at work I saw an L-39 or L-159 fly past. Close enough to know it was L-39 family but far enough away to not be able to tell which member.

Oh well, I will be going to the show tomorrow so hopefully will have some good shots to show.

Saw a Sea King go over about an hour ago.

Going by the line up for this weekend's airshow it should be Belgian.

A couple of days ago a formation of old aircraft flew over Brisbane. They consisted of a Dragon in the lead, with a pair of moths (slightly behind and at either side) and behind them, an Auster, a Chipmonk and a Cessna Bird dog. I took a few frames of them, (still in the camera) but I'd like to know why? It wasn't DH's birthday, or QANTAS, or the RFDS....any ideas are welcome.

deathjester

might it be some sort of celebration of army co-operation aircraft, and/or basic trainers?

A Dutch Lynx of all things flying! :o

Was in Leeds with work earlier today & I saw something I couldn't identify at the time.  The light played on it unusually on it's forward fuselage & at first I thought it might be an amphibian, but at as it turned it clearly wasn't.  A quick web search shows it to be a Dash 8 of Southwest Air, making it's approach from Bristol.

Saw a Jet2 737 making it's approach as well, can't miss those guys in silver & red.  Here's a Jet2 757 & 737 I snapped on a trip to Prague a couple of years ago, flying from LBA.  I flew on the 737 'Yorkshire Jet'.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I would say they were practising for the upcoming Amberley Airshow, but its probably a tad early.

Buzzing around today here.

They do buzz as well don't they, like angry Hornets!

XL Airways 737..... Oh sorry, my mistake!!!!    Actually, their going bust has caused the Missus some serious agro today, she's manager for a travel agent & her day has been turned upside down, likely to follow on tomorrow too.  She's so knackered she had to miss a freinds birthday do, poor lass.
