Hawkeye

He shot a visual, an ILS and a GPS approach before making a full stop and taking on fuel. I had to leave so I don't know what he did after that.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

A Faun Koloss was at a petrol station in Hull when I pulled in to fill up on Saturday.  The thing was huge.

Today I got a brief treat, when I rolled into work at York I could here at least one fast jet messing about, but couldn't see it/them.  I went into the building on the opposite side, heard them again & just managed to spy the sihouette of an F-15 through the window for a few seconds, enough to see it pulling some maneouvers.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I didn't see this but my wife did, she was driving into Red Deer from the south when she saw a fairly large airliner fuselage being transported on a low-loader heading in the opposite direction, probably going to the Red Deer Regional Airport which is the former CFB Penhold.  She said the fusealge was white with red lettering, I tried to find out more but wasn't able too.

isn't air canada scrapping some of its 767s? i thought i heard something about that, but i could be wrong.

I just quizzed my wife on what she saw, she said that the title started with a 'B' with either 'AIRWAYS' or 'AIRLINES' following.  She also said that a work-mate of hers also saw it but this was further south than Penhold, almost into Calgary.  It apparently had quite a bit of it's wings on too because it took up the whole south bound lanes, 3 or 4 depending where it was spotted.

Interesting :o

The only Air Canada 767 that has so far been scrapped in Canada is C-GAUP. Scrapped in Montreal, in September 2005. The remainder would be in Mojave.

Alas, C-GAUP did not have any paint scheme.

Nope, the A340s have a much higher value, and are newer. They have all been sold to other airlines.

Just heard the distinctive sound of a Harvard overhead, no doubt returning from a flypast at one of the local cenotaphs.
