The trip to & from the Cosford show yesterday brought a few sights, many enjoying the early spring weather in microlights, paragliders & hot air baloons.  At Cosford there were several overflights of at least one Grob Vigilant T.1 powered gliders & I saw a biplane of somesort in the distance.  Rooted firmly on the ground on the M1, there were two Chally 2's on civvy flatbeds stopped at the side of the road.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Had a couple of trooping flights yesterday here at Edinburgh. First out was an Omni Air DC-10, apparently taking the Blackwatch to Nairobi. Then in the evening an Air Italy 767-300 that had come in from Cairo went out to Brize Norton. Most of the recent troop movements have used chartered civilian planes.

Not over my house but my friend' in Calgary.  I was visiting my friend on Friday when we heard a very loud jet pass over the house, his house is on the flightpath to Calgary International but this didn't sound like an airliner.  A few minutes later it came over again so naturally we dashed outside to see what it was but the clouds were low and we couldn't see anything, but as we turned to go back into the house it came back around again.  Then I spotted two fighters circling just above the roof tops but quite a way away.  I couldn't identify what they were so on my way home I decided to stop at the airport to see if they were still around and sure enough found two CF-118's parked on the apron of the Shell Hanger.  That was cool I thought but then while watching the news on Satuday night I found out why they were here, seems that 4 Wing out of Cold Lake had a 'Freedom of the City' parade in Calgary on Saturday afternoon and the two jets were part of the fly-pass during the parade.

Hawkeye

Fortunately I heard the call on the scanner that N300BF was inbound to shot several stop and goes...I like it when they make their turns over the house.  I give you the BT-67.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Those are very nice, I really like the turbo prop Dak.  I've got two Heritage Aviation turbo prop conversions in 1/72 for my Daks, Dart and PT-6

An RAF Valley Hawk beat up Chepstow at low level today. Needless to say it got the obligatory big wave from my wife!

The famed Canadian Forces 431 Sqn, "Snowbirds". Of course, I get to see them at 0930 and 1400 hours everyday for the next 2 weeks. It is practice time here in Comox, BC.

If lucky, I will get on a promotion flight with the CC-115 Buffalo and the team. Just like last year. I managed to get some shots from the SAR windows, and the removed cargo door escape hatch while over the local glacier. I should post them one day.

I saw the Nimrod that has been at Warton aerodrome not far from me again yesterday. It has been there a long time, as I used to see it a lot on my way to and from seeing my Mum in Hospital, it is always very low for some reason.
Maybe it is so the crew don't have as far to jump out
There has been the usual test flights of Typhoons over our house, and a desert cam tornado has been playing out also.
