Hawkeye

It has a distinct sound for sure...always fun to watch gracefully float over.
It paid a visit to us last summer after Oshkosh. Here it is over the homestead. It buzzed back and forth giving local dealers rides for three days...a big fat mosquito buzzing around. lol

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

When I saw your pics the first thing that came to my mind was the UFO episode on The 70's Show, where Leo says he'd seen a UFO, it had flashing lights all over it and it told him he was going to have a good year -----
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

We're in my girlfriend's hometown right now and the weather is gorgeous.

All afternoon, every five or ten minutes, a Zlin 142 or 242 would take off from the nearby airport with a glider (usually a Blanik of some description) in tow. From where the flat is, I could look out the kitchen window and watch the Zlin take the gliders up in nice lazy circles and eventually release them. Watching the gliders was a treat to, really graceful and majestic flying things.

A beautiful, lazy spring Saturday, a beer in one hand, watching tow planes and gliders do their thing..... Almost idylic really <_<

Unfortunately it was Kozel, which I don't consider a prime exemplar of Czech brewing prowess, but better than nothing. I did later have a Pilsner Urquell to compensate.

A little update from the Easter holidays:

Friday:

Woke up at 8 AM, coz i was meeting late at school that day ;D Ran the obligatory 5 km with my dogs, I'm now down to about 20 minutes. I showered, and was packing my bag, when a Robinson R-22 (rare around here, i usually only get R-44s) flew by:

Saturday:

Woke up at 6 AM, went to work. Came home from work 40 minutes later, ran the dogs, fell asleep. Woke up again at 11 AM. Played computer and started some models (Fiesler Storch, ANT-5 and T-6). Went asleep early, i was tired.

Sunday:

Slept late, no work. In the afternoon i went out with my friends to play hardball. Tried a few weapons, quickly narrowing my selection into a G-36 assault rifle and a Glock pistol.

Monday - Tuesday - Wensday:

Woke up late, ran the dogs, went to work around lunchtime, did some more modelling and computer gaming, etc.

Thursday:

We were going on a visit to some Family on Zealand. We passed what was once the most important airbase in Denmark, Værløse AB. I once lived in Værløse.
The road went right by the end of the runway, where a black Mercedes with blacked out windows was making a u-turn. KGB? ;D

Hangars and some runway:

IDE (in drive entertainment)

On the way home i took some photos on the Great Belt bridge. I believe it was once the longest suspension bridge, but only for about a year.

Across the main span, approaching the island of Sprogø. Here the trains come up from the tunnel, and run along the highway on the remainder of the bridge.

At the end of the bridge is the city of Nyborg:

The failed attempt at getting the church tower

Between Nyborg and Ringe, i spotted this little plane:

And some windmills:

Back in Ringe. We decided to get some food at the Chinese restaurant, as it was late. I noticed that the trees had grown eggs:

And finally, the church:

In the evening i watched Monty Python and the life of Bvian ;D

Friday:

Went on a bycycle trip with the scouts. At the coast i spotted a brand new Diana class patrol boat doing full speed trials (25 knots):

A Cirrus:

On my way home, i stopped by the largest European colony of Cormorans:

In the evening i watched Monty Python and the search for the holy grail ;D

OOPS, poor spelling should read EASYJET.

I had just enough time to step outside to catch our area medevac chopper as it passed over. It was really hustling to get to the trama center...low and fast!
