If only to have so much money to not know what to do with it eh?  I'd stuggle to afford the remote controlled job!

Tucano yesterday & there have been a surpising amount of hot air ballons around York, seen one every time I've been there for more than a week now.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Didn't have the camera handy as I'd just got back from dialysis, but a pair of Puma's went overhead heading south east. Best guess is they were heading for Odiham.

I saw a plane with 4 contrails coming over. I looked it up on the website, but it wasn't fitted with mode-s. Using binoculars i identified it as a C-17!

had a pair of Army Air Corps Apaches low over the house around 5pm today. Heading due south, and not in the direction of Wattisham (UK Apache central). The first time ive seen the type in this neck of the woods. We normaly only get the odd Wookka or puma passing by.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Nev, a civil operator, Libyan Air Cargo run them.  Nice white green & blue livery, would look good on the Revell kit.

Yes, but they are a subsidary of Libyan Airlines, one of two state operated airlines. They also operate a fleet consisting mostly of the ex-Libyan AF heavy haulers, including C-130s, Il-76, Il-78, An-26, An-32, Il-62s, which is rather suspicious...

Ah, the old "falsies".  Thanks for the pic, 'tis quite a nice livery.

1720 This afternoon, a Sea King/Commando HC4 went in to Woodvale - guess it's connected with the HMS Illustrious arriving tomorrow. When I went past the airfield on my into work an hour later it had gone.
