seen an RAF chinnok fly-over this morning, going north to south and really low too

While at work I saw a Chinook fly over the rear yard,Battersea SW11......got a pic on the iphone....but its not good quality

Lucky bugger!! All I see over my place are airliners, airliners and yet more airliners. Oh and the occasional exec helo on a SVFR run. Rarely get to see anything interesting, oh the joys of living right under the western TCA for Heathrow.

I was at home the other day,bout 4k south of Gatwick n two Apache longbows flew over......really low n slow,awesome!

At work in the last 2 days I've seen a Chinook, 2 Merlins, a Sea King, a naval Lynx with red doors, Met Police EC145, SwissAir BAe146's, Boeing 747s, Airbus 318 and 340, ATR 42, Dornier 328, Fokker 50.......

2 A-10s. It sure is neat to see them yank-and-bank over the river....much more fun than the old 'straight-line' F-16s ! Not quite as loud, tho....

Also heard the Chinook, but never saw her....

Re the Chinooks, see them going down the Lea Valley on average every two weeks. The one I saw on Monday was really shifting it though.

Saw one of the CzAF L-159 ALCA light strike jets fly over the city centre today. Haven't seen one of those in  a few months.

Low enough to see what it was but high enough to render my mobile's camera pretty much useless.

Sitting outside at mt bro's enjoying this beautiful spring day, when an L-19 birddpg/grasshopper/cub flew around for about 5 minutes. Silver dope with USAF markings. Beauty.

Wasn't today but a week ago or so I was taking the dogs outback and heard a helo.  Looked up in time to see a USCG HH-60J Jayhawk go screaming by in a hurry.

Other day got buzzed by one of the local TV news helos while we at Home Depot.
