On my way to wok yesterday:  A Schoolbus Yellow crop duster, in a 80 degree bank away from me, sunlit against a beautiful clean blue sky.  And my camera in the back seat in my briefcase . . . Lots of nasty words . . . .

Spent yesterday afternoon at Carrabelle Beach.  I kept waiting for something other than a seagull to fly over, to no avail.  Getting there and back took us past Tallahassee Regional Airport, and I managed to snap a couple of pics of their FBO.  Apologies for the quality; we were zooming by at 45mph and I barely got the camera up in time to shoot anything.

Look just to the left of the palm tree.  In the midground, you can see a rotor-less Huey, and a bit behind that is a Cobra.  The section forward of the engine bay is painted white, so maybe Forestry Service?  I want to take a trip out there during the day sometime and poke around a bit, assuming it's legal.

Um, that slow over here, especially on a dual carridge way/ freeway.

It's not really fast here, but when you weren't looking and someone shouts "Airport!", it's pretty quick.  This camera has a macro for shooting at speed, but I wasn't using it.

Seen a yellow RAF Sea King several times over the Easter, at home on Thursday & Friday following almost exactly the same flight path & once today over work, seemed to be following a line from Hull Royal Infirmary back to it's leconfield base (just a few miles away as the Squeaking flys).
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Mmmm...yellow Sea Kings....

I spent almost 4 hours this morning going thru the memory cards from our western road trip, sorting things chronologically, cropping, saving etc....just to have the stinking computer crap out. 138 pics in total. Damn thinkin' boxes...just can't trust 'em ! Anyway...be a week or two until I have time for that act again. That is, to say, that my new hard drive or whatever I need will be ready.

Well, it was all kicking off at work today.  Dinner time saw 2 Sea Kings with underslung loads heading NE out to the North Sea :D

3 hours later and a Chinook in close formation with a Lynx, and another Lynx a half mile to port heading in the same direction.  5 minutes later ANOTHER Lynx going the same way

A quick trawl of the interweb reveals there's an exercise going on practising seaborne replenishment.

Well on the walk to the car to head home yesterday, I watched a F-111 and a pair of Super Hornets flyover low and fast...

Heading down the M5 this afternoon, around Tewksbury, a Wokka came overhead, low and fast (fast for a Wokka anyway) heading north-west. About 30 secs later a C-130J Herk came over as well, at about the same hieght going in the opposite direction!  :o

I wish I'd been about 5 miles to the north-west, where they must have passed each other head-on!
