Maybe they want to stay over land these days, Comrade !

Heh... funny thing is, my dad knows the co-pilot (who's apparently single, cute, and about 27... or so I've been told).

Got out of church this A. M., looked up & saw the prettiest Cessna 120/140 flying over.  Bright blue & white over polished aluminum.

Pretty!

Are you sure it wasn't the UK version of the Black Govt helicopters?? We just can't afford blackhawks so we have to do with black painted Robinsons to scare the people with...

Went to take the dogs out earlier tonight and was greeted with a wonderful sound.  Amidst the nightly low rumble of far off jets and the random humming of the E-2s came a the unmistakable sound of a pair of Super Bugs hitting the gas and then screaming overhead.  You bet I got chills

Wasn't over my house, obviously, but I saw this nice Sabre in Frankenmuth, Michigan on Monday.

Ouch! I may sound like a bit of a JMN here, but there's a very, very poor lettering job on this one!

Well, not quite over my house but seen from the window of an El Al 777 whilst taxying out at Tel Aviv (OK, I'm a name-dropper!) for London on 9 May - all Israeli AF - a couple of the all white 4X-reg B747s, a sad looking all white B707, 2 or 3 sadder looking derelict C-130s, 3 redundant-looking all-grey Aravas, stripped down hulks of around a dozen Neshers and Kfirs (mostly desert camo, a couple of all-greys), 4 Skyhawks (all desert camo) and........around half a dozen Mig-21bis (mostly desert camo, two allover grey (same shade as athe Aravas and Kfirs).

I was heading out to a mid-afternoon staff meeting at the hotel when I spotted a T-38, zipping along just above treetop level.  Beautiful.

There was a Tucano four ship formation over York University this morning, I've seen them twice already.  It seems slightly unusual, the back two seem to be in standard black scheme, whereas the front two don't seem to be.  They were high-ish so I couldn't make them out properly, but I remember someone here saying that two would would be painted in camo for the Battle of Britain 70th Anniversay & that looked like a strong possibility.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

At work today. This morning around 1130 whilst logging some pyro's into the 'bomb dump' a familer droning sound overhead..... A Harvard/Texan following the coastline north at a very sedate pace - no more than 70kts maximum at around 150ft. This afternoon at 1445, whilst putting more pyro's away, the same Harvard/Texan droned back southward escorting a Chipmunk !!

Both must have been up at RAF Woodvale for whatever reason.

Four F/A-18's from Texas came into Selfridge today.  They're here for the Downtown Howdown going on this weekend in Detroit.

So...  the A-10's weren't enough to keep the peace

Had a Mil "Hip" of some description (17 or 171 most likely) makea leisurely pass high above my place of work yesterday.

It was pretty high up, so I just kind of watched out the roof window until it was out of sight. A nice distraction from work for a couple of minutes.
