Where's Todd, is he ill???  The last two picture posts have had Sea Kings in & he hasn't commented, surely something must be wrong!!!

Haha.....good one ! Both lovely examples, if you ask me !  I think the RAF should use yellow Sea Kings forever.....they've got to be just as ( if not moreso ) recognizable to Joe Public as the Red Arrows !

Give it just a few more years & it probably counts as forever!!!  I do remember yellow Wessex's (stayed in service with the local flight of 202 Sqn for many years), although I think the RAF started getting the HAR's in 1977, just a year after I was born.  So as far I can remember, it has been forever!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Ha! I can better that. I have been winched up into a yellow Whirlwind.

Closest I've come is a Wessex landed in a field very close by to me while I was doing my paper round!

Just got back from picking up my motor scooter - it left me sit with a broken throttle cable - and while loading it on the pickup truck, I watched a C-17 from DAFB making a tight turn overhead.  That thing really seems to move like a fighter compared to the C-5s.

Just another typical "daily air show" from Dover AFB.

Had a ride in a Whirlwind around Portland dockyard when I was there on summer camp with my cadet unit many moons ago.  Noisey but great fun for a bunch of starry eyed cadets....It wasn't yellow though.

Just got out of the shower this morning and was running to the bedroom to answer my phone.

I picked up the phone and about 10 seconds into the call a two ship of Hinds went past nice and low over the neighborhood. I could see them clear as day through the window and they were close enough for pictures.

Of course the phone call is urgent, work related and can't wait.

I'm taking the call on the mobile so it's camera is out of the question.

The normal camera is on the other side of the room and all the batteries are charging.

I know....excuses, excuses :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

But pictures or not it was a great way to start the day
