Oh forgot, with you mentioning Seakings Nils it's spurred the memory, saw two of them over York University.  Probably RN Seakings, Lead was light grey the trailing machine seemed darker.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

we and the mum went shopping this morning, near ostend airport. lot of grounded Meridian DC-8's, MK airlines 747, also spotted an overflying Seaking and local SA365 Dauphin.

as we arrived on the parkinglot to check out a new secondhand shop, i found one of these badboys on the parkinglot (wonder if its for sale  ;D)

Now... there's something I didn't quite get here. When exactly did that beast find itself "over your house"?  ;D ;D ;D

How's this for over the house...I took this out my office window as the aircraft passed over the neighbors house. The fuzzy white at the bottom is the snow on the neighbors roof. Its that low! I LOVE IT!

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Awesome pic!!! Is your office like on the top floor of a 100-storey building?!?

Captain Canada

Nope a ground level office...same level as the rest of my dwelling.  This is "Seen Over Your House"   ;)

Its not an M48/M60 Patton.  Turret's too tall and short, rear deck is sloped.  Other than that, I have no idea myself. :-\

Wow! The things they sell in second-hand shops these days!  :o

The tank is a Swiss "Panzer 68". From what one reads, it had some teething problems. Since many components shared the same electrical circuit, it could happen that cranking up the heater caused the main gun to fire.  :o

I saw an RAF Merlin chugging over my place earlier today at about 500ft. Pretty dammed cool

Not quite over my house, but here's the Delta 4 Heavy launched from Vandenberg AFB today. Taken from the roof of the Math Science building at UCLA, the Delta 4 is climbing over the Getty Center/Museum. Distance to Vandenberg is 205.7km.

What's amazing is that even at this distance, I could just hear the faint roar from the engines.

Pretty good line of sight.  I understood Southern California was smoggy.  If you could hear the engine, obviously not much traffic around where you are?  Cool picture though.  Reminds me of the scene in "The Day After" when the people in the town look up and see the Minuteman exhaust trails going up from the silos into the upper atmosphere and you just know whats going to happen next.  ;)

This part of L.A. has very little smog, except for a few days in the Summer, maybe.
Not that much traffic, although there was some noise. The rocket sound was distinctive enough to make out over the rest. I was on the roof of this building right at the arrow, looking out to the left.
