Sorry to say Alun, but that is no Cessna, not with a constant cord wing and tailplane
Cessna's Model 162 Skycatcher does have a constant cord wing... But the tail here is distinct, what with the horizontal surfaces located completely underneath the fuselage. Probably a modern light type indeed, but I can't identify it right now.

Hawkeye

It looks like a kit built Light Sport type.

Fulcrum

Spotted a DC-9 flying low at around noon yesterday, heading south from my local airport(Waterloo Regional).

Stockport normally isn't a good place for plane spotting unless you're into airliners, 'cos we're under the Manchester Airport flight path, so all the interesting stuff stays away. However, living next to a scally estate has it's compensations, as the GMP's MD Explorer sometimes shows up to pursue a local miscreant (plenty to choose from ):

Sorry they're a bit rubbish but I don't have a long lens, so the originals are dirty dots in the middle of miserable grey skies. These have been cropped, brightened and contrast-enhanced within an inch of their lives to get any worthwhile detail at all.

On Tuesday I was driving along Weymouth sea front, when I spotted a couple of RN ships in the bay - an MCM vessel, and a TYPE 45! First time I've seen one on the move - I think it would have been Daring or Dauntless, as AFAIK the others aren't in service yet.. I went out yesterday to see if she was still in Portland harbour, but she'd obviously left in the meantime. I did get a nice walk in the sun though, and took a few photos, including these of a couple of Condor Ferries catamarans in Weymouth harbour as well as some other floaty things. The Dorset police chopper was buzzing around as well - apparently there was an armed robbery in Wyke Regis (an outlying area of Weymouth) and they were chasing the gunman. Not brilliant pics, but my camera is a very old compact digicam so it doesn't do particularly well most of the time.

And here's the Police whirly, as well as a shot of Portland and harbour in the haze.

I miss having a camera.  I was out looking for work today, when I saw a Learjet in Air Force markings headed for the airport.  It was followed closely by a T-6 (one of the new ones).

Fulcrum

Just finished work(around 1:35 a.m.)& was waiting for a cab to arrive to drive me home when a fast-approaching object flying near-by changed direction & flew over my workplace.

Possible jet fighter(vintage maybe) as when it came over, the noise of the jet engine was loud(thankfully not over a residental neighbourhood, but a industrial strip where my workplace is)

Identification was impossible due to nighttime conditions(was also heading southeast away from my local airport).
Could been also a UFO(lighting configuration was a rectangle of lights with a red, blinking light in the forward center of the object).

Hmmm... who could it be?
A pilot taking his vintage jet fighter for some nighttime flying?(sounded like a L-29/Mig-15/F-86 type jet)
A CAF/USAF jet transiting through Waterloo Regional(heading towards either Hamilton or Buffalo)?
Possibly my hometown(Cambridge) under a no-fly zone ?
Possibly
