A little Air Force traffic: two Hornets in formation, followed by a Learjet and then a Pilatus PC-12.

Near Cockermouth, an Osprey (aircraft not bird) heading east towards Keswick.

Wonderful.

This R44 has been buzzing around the Menai Straights for days now. Here is it over Carenarvon Castle

But later today I found out what it was doing. It flies sightseeing tours from the local airport, which also houses the Air Amblance (NOT a Lightning C10....  ;)) and the local ASR chopper, not to mention quite a nice little aviation Museum.

Gondor

The other night there was a helicopter over Stirling Castle. No idea what it was other than a Helicopter as around midnight it's a little dark. Kept me awake too.

My first flying display of the 21st century, the excellent Shuttleworth Collection's Vintage Weekend display - perfect weather, village fête atmosphere, vintage vehicles of all kinds on display, not just aircraft.  Well worth a visit if it's on again next year.

That must have been a wonderful show Dave, I'm green with envy.

Cearnarvon Airport Museum was a poor substitute.... :(
