I guess either I've been drinking too much Dr. Pepper, or the Almighty's been dropping hints, either way I pulled out a Revell F-8E from my rotting disposal pile & I'm gonna do it up as an early Vietnam war MiGCap bird. Construction & pics at 10.

So far the loadout will be 4 radar & 4 IR Sidewinders plus 2 droptanks. Camo will be the standard SEA camo with . . . er, um "unique" noseart.

Added the new spine extension for the boom recepticle, horizontal stabs and got to work on the ventrals.

Neato!  That is going to be a class act jet.

Shasper

Filling has commenced on the spine, meanwhile I've dredged up a new position light & glued it onto the aft wingspine. I also added a few RHAWS bulges to the intake area & the tail

This is probably from the second batch of USAF Crusaders, with only the boom receptacle.  I rather suspect the first batch was a quick conversion that retained the probe and drogue installation as well as adding the boom receptacle, much as the F-105 could use either system.  Hmm, I'm tempted to try doing a "first batch" one, myself.

She's looking good, Shasper, and I can't wait to see your final product.
