Maybe it's the huge straight wings but I'm interested in building a ground attack version of the Canuck. I'm thinking dumb bombs & rockets as well as maybe a gun pack in the nose. I'd like to know how realistic this would be if it was tried in real life, I'm not too worried if it would not be all that successful as long as it's plausible.

What do you guys think?

There was the proposed STOVL attack variant:

The CF-100 was built with four hardpoints for bombs, air-to-ground rockets or air-to-air missiles, but they were not used operationally except as mountings for chaff dispensers. Ground attack trials were carried out in 1954. Operational ground attack was not pursued as AVRO felt the airframe G-limit was too low for ground attack duties. Clunk Mks 3 and 4 had a belly pack with 8 .50 MG, there was also a fuselage test rig that mounted four T160 20mm cannon. The gun was troublesome so it was not adopted.

I did something like that with a scorpion.

I say do it anyway.
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

Just add bombs underwings... a stock CF-100 mk.4 already has huge punch in A2G missions (hell, rocket pods and 8 machine guns seems good)
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Thanks all of your responses were useful, I love that Scorpion sisko it looks way more warlike than it does in teh overall metal finish.

I'm still deciding on a colour scheme, although the scenario will be a Canuck Mk 5 G.R based in West Germany during the early 60's. Also still to decide if it will be Canadian or Belgian markings.
