Do you understand me?
I am not sure to finish my RDF Skyraider on time and I take this other one :dum:  :dum:  :dum:  :banghead:

I love P-38 and SEA camo: so what about a parallel to COIN Invader in Vietnam war?

Turboprops, we need RR Darts turboprops on this one...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Hmmm a P-38 in Vietnam. Now there's an interesting idea! I'd be sure to load it out with a bomb or two and a couple of rockets to take on the Ho Chi Minh trail!

The nose looks a bit different than usual. I'm sure the rest of this will be an absolute treat to see!

I would suggest ditching the .50 calibers for a full 20mm gunfit, maybe even fit some more in cheek fairings ala later mark B-25 & -26s?

It's funny seeing this.  I was flipping through back issues of Air Classics this afternoon at the Museum when I happened across a photo of a modified P-38 with eight (8) .50s in the nose, and pods under each wing mounting two more guns each, for a total of twelve!

A pair of Vulcan maybe ? would give it a HUGE punch...

I was thinking more of the Colt revolver-style, not sure if the piston engines goyd get a pair of M61s airborn.

mmmmm.....

I have not decided on the nose fittings. I like your proposal, indeed.
Underwing: an original auxiliary tank inboard and a napalm and a Mk-82 out board, under each wing.

If you look here and here, you will see some real-life P-38 proposals that might interest you.  Including a P-38 with a 75mm cannon, one with torpedoes and a number of others.

Wing tip tanks are always COOL

Those wingtip tanks really give this P-38 a distinctive look, Ysi!
