Ah, I've seen Desmojen's work before on other sites, she's a fantastic modeller.  If she's getting into whiffs, maybe invite her over here Nev?  Be good to have a another Lady modeller here, we don't have many.

An 43 Sqn markings too, one of my favourites!  I shouldn't like black & white markings by rights, being a Hull Kingston Rovers fan, 56 Sqn should be more my thing....!!! :P
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Remind me to post my 13 Sqn Tiffie sometime soon. As for a 43 Sqn machine I have an idea for a retro look machine that Harkens back to the days of the Hawker Fury.
Oh and a 2 hole Typhoon bomber idea I have mentioned to Howard of Effingham and Thorvic.

Pic in IX Sqn markings:

It's been a definate proposal, with CFT's & the appropriate gubbins.  Typhoon has recentley acquired an 'austere' bomb slinging capability & it'll eventually be quite capable in this role even without any major changes to the equipment.

PS, post your 13 Sqn Tiffie sometime! :P

Nev, I now officially hate you for all time, plus 10 years! :P

Quote(look on the bright side, you are in infinitely more talented modeller than me!)

     I wouldn't bet on it, have you seen my efforts at trying to build the Trumpeter Wyvern!  :banghead:    :banghead:

QuoteI don't get to see a damn thing down here in South Australia!

I have seen Tornadoes and Nimrods (just wait for the next Fincastle in Australia) at RAAF Edinburgh a few years back.  Also, if you get a chance try this.

Regards,

Greg
Hmmmm, that could have potential! :P

She's not normally a whiffer - it was a comission build for a fellow RAF type who's on 43.

And yes, she is a very talented modeller - she won the Trumpeter competition at last years nats with a 1/32 Me262 and got to go to China (and tell us all about the masters for the 1/32 Jaguar she saw there      )

Only together can we bring her to dark side of the force!

Oh, & we'll have to remind her:

LOL that picture is outright hilarious :D
What do you think of my "Taliban  Typhoon"? Captured when they overran the Luftwaffe basis in Mazar i-Sharif.  :dum:
The next ones will be German Eurofighters after the takeover of power by the NPD and "Die Linke"...

I've got two RoG 1/48 kits in need of markings, and I'm all over the place on what to do them as. I wish someone would do a bunch of profiles--Australia, Africa air forces, Asia, etc.
This 1/72 one is still in-progress:

I built this one a couple of years ago:

How did the country lose its way...when did we stop rooting for the man with a flame-thrower or an acid-spraying gun of some kind?

The Taliban doesn't strike me as the kind that would use equipment captured from infidels; nor do they seem aeronautically inclined, they banned flying kites, they captured a large number of Migs and where only able to keep one or two air worthy despite the country being one big junk yard of soviet equipment, and the country that was there only real support (Pakistan) was a Mig (Chinese) operator.

LOL of course they are supported by a group of pilots of the Revolutionary Islamic Emirate (formerly known as Saudi Arabia  :dum: ) BTW are you sure they had only one or two flyble? ACIG speaks of a quite well organzied air arm that flew up to 30 combat missions a day, there's also a picture of a Taliban airfield where you can see several, apparently operational, Mig-21s and one Su-20.

15 touch and goes a day for every aircraft (crashing on the 15th :P ) :dum:

A Typhoon after the takeover of "Die Linke" (The Leftist). As promised before the elections the German army was reduced to 100000 men. Only twelve Eurofighters were kept operational, the other ones were scrapped and some sold to Venezuela. The airforce was incorporated into the army and as the iron cross was considered too militaristic a new insignia was introduced. Also the funds for maintanance were reduced dramatically, resulting in only 4-5 aircraft being in a state that could be described as flyable.
