Great! Would you take a few parts in usual kits to match them with the saucers? I'd love to see that, indeed.

Joe, plates do work well :)  here's the saucer I made from plates a while back.

Not fancy at all, it was a quick, fun build. I have been thinking about giving it another go, only doing a bit nicer job.

I really enjoy all of the saucer ideas!

;D nice, BlackOps, while... I would like a canopy somewhere (black? no need of cockpit), just to be more "aircraft" (or animal with eye) rather than abstract object.

This thread reminds me of Flying Saucers -- For Real! I always speculated that, if these saucers really were real, the jet engines were probably not used so much for propulsion as they were for generating electrical & hydraulic power. One can only imagine how heavy such a craft must be to require so d--- many wheels!

I did a C-57d lookalike for Ships Starfleet Never Built, the Borchardt. I subsequently recycled it (with modifications) as Biff and Barf's (superhero characters described here) spaceship (shown below).

Not older than dirt but remembers when it was still under warranty.

Tophe and TSRjoe: not sure if you saw this when the GB was on, but it has pound-shop bits (cheap clocks), proper kit bits and scratchbuilding in it. Long way from perfect but relevent......

some possible reference material...its all bs i know but all good clean fun, hehehe

btw. by posting these in no way am i implying that the Germans did actually build such designs or that i endorse any of the more 'fringe' elements which accompany the sites which usually reference them, just a lil disclaimer as i know theres some who take issue with 'nazi ufo's

I just finished a 1/350 scale C-57. It'll be going to the 3D printers soon:

Wow al of this lot is certainly wetting my appetite for building a UFO. I think I will start looking for bits when I have finished the vehicle I just started. Pond stretchers here we come
