I had heard a story that the 120mm gun on the Chieftan was too powerful for the Isrealis.. It just blew other tanks to hell and gone. So much so that there wasn't much left for the tried and true isreali practice of salvage and re-use.

There's one idea I've been doodling for some time, it's based on a S-tank, but it's got a low profile turret like that tested on the US T92 experimental tank.  With the Strv-103's suspension, elevation could be dealt with, leaving the main gun fixed in the turret for traverse, only.  It would definitely be a low-profile armored vehicle.

I was just thinking we have SOOOOOOO many Aircraft builds that myself as a
Hopeless Armor Junkie sort of feels kinda left out so what about a Armor GB I
have A few ideas floating around maybe we can get a build going
say 4th 1/4 07 or 1st 1/4 08?? any comments

We're not doing one, because we know you'd win and we're gonna keep you down, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

But no seriously yeah, we're due for a non-flying GB.  We had one way way way back but it was a little narrow in focus and we had limited participation.  We have tons more members now though so it sounds like the time is right.

I'll pick this up again as I think it's a good idea to have a non-aircraft build fairly reguarly (once or twice year?), we definately have a huge bias to stuff that whizzes through the air.  I've got to admit, aircraft are my favourite genre but I'd be quite happy to try my skills elsewhere.

Rather than a generic armour build, why don't we have a more defined GB like we do with aircraft?  A couple of ideas I have:

Wheeled Armour.  Wheeled tanks & other equipment, rather than tracked stuff.
BFG (Big F**k-off Gun).  Anything with a huge weapon & we're not talking Ron Jeremy......  I guess we could include missiles too?
Anyone else any ideas?

Slightly OT, but as far as non-aircraft builds go didn't someone propose a Movies build?  As far as I remember, most of the proposals were for cars.
