Cool beans Thanks for the info if it is a go,I will be building a M7E8 90mm That is an M7 Priest, based on a Sherman tank, with an E8 suspension system and I will be adding a 90mm barrel instead of the 105mm howitzer it used I may also add an M4A2 diesel engine deck to it Jeff Fontaine and I were talking about it one night on MSN chat
Yeah,I know the load is late. But the voices keep telling me to pull over and clean the guns.

I've got two or three armor kits that need some sort of excuse to terminate  :dalek:

Is this gb going to go on?

OK, this one's the winner of the recompete!  If someone doesn't step up by Friday, this one's going on the back burner and the Styrene Junkyard GB becomes January's!

If it's not a problem,I will head the GB I say problem because I don't have internet  access every day because of my job Or maybe have myself and one other member to help run the GB?

If this one doesn't get a mod by the end of this week, it'll be pushed back to February, and the Styrene Junkyard will be taking this slot.

I'm taking part in both, so it matters not to me which one goes first.

GTX (greg) offered himself to moderate this GB.
Will die without understanding this world.

And yet... he never PM'ed me about it.

No matter, since joncarrfarrelly has bravely stepped up to be the Commandant for this build (three "huzzah's" for Jon!).

I'll get with him via PM's and get this thing going.

I'm looking forward to this one.

If GTX and/or Panzer want to be co-Commandants, PM both me and Jon about it.

Hi guys,
I've PMed Anthony with proposed rules and I'm posting it here for your review and comment.

____________________________________________________________________________________
Hi Anthony,
here are my proposed rules.

1. Subject - any scale, must be a 'What-If', visibly armored and primarily a ground vehicle of any era ... from the pre-Stone Age to the Far Flung Future. For the purposes of this build large terrestrial animals are considered vehicles, as long as they have armoring and armament that is not part of their natural form.

2. Wheels, tracks, skis or hover - skirted or anti-grav, it makes no difference. WIG is allowed for long-range cross-water transit on large machines, as are 'hoppers' and 'flying jeeps'. However, these are the only 'flying' vehicles allowed.

3. Amphibious vehicles are encouraged and don't forget about the SPs and APCs.

4. Monster Tanks and Land Battleships, yeah Baby.

5. Prizes, so far I've only figured out the 1st Prize - Academy 1/25th Jagdpanther. I'll ruminate on 2nd and 3rd.

As usual there is no limitation on the number of entries per modeler and the posting of in-progress photos is encouraged.

I will be creating a reference topic in which I will post some old oddball stuff from 'The Fighting Tanks Since 1916' by Jones, Rarey and Icks, 1933, The National Service Publishing Company.

The Secret Projects forum has some good stuff in the Army Secret Projects thread:
http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=unread;board=24.0

Please contact me with any questions or suggestions.

Now get out there and reform the battlefield.   ;D

Cheers,
Jon

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot, it doesn't have to be military...  police and Mad Max type subjects are welcome.

Sorry about that folks - work got in the way again.  Mind you, I am happy to assist and to put up second or third prize of a book on armoured warfare etc.

Greg
