I just realized that this week I've visited four of them
- Bristol Aero collection
- Concorde at Filton
- the Helicopter museum
- FAA museum

I just love the UK approach to preserving history. The two aviation museums in the Netherlands just preserve the highlights, but the UK museums offer so much more. The four listed above alone offer a treasure trove of prototypes, cancelled projects and other what-if fodder, plus lots of production aircraft that wouldn't have been included if the museum had been run by the Dutch.
A few of the things that caught my eye this week: a BS-100 engine (for the P1154), the Harrier PCB testbed, a P1127 (that's at least 2 of them preserved), a set of SRAAM launch tubes, and an S225X missile. And there's lots more like this.

So   to the British for preserving and presenting their history.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

And that's not even the complete list. I've been using this one for planning visits.
