I Exchange Jasdf Weapons Against Decals

Hello everybody!!

For this GB, I plan to participate with two models: a Harrier II+ modified for special operations (but I still have to find a good model in 1/72 of the beast!!) and a Eurofighter Typhoon loaded in maritime strike.

The problem is I just don't have enough decals for that! Actually, I just have 6 meatballs, no squadrons markings etc...

However, I won't use all the content of my Hasegawa 1/72 JASDF weapons set!!

That's why I could propose some weapons  against a good piece of decal sheet in 1/72 or even against two F-15 belly tanks (I want some heavy tanks under my Typhoon wings, not the 1000 litres tanks that are in the Revell box)

For the weapons, I have:
-2x AAM-4 = AMRAAM like missiles (they already received a primary coat of paint, but it's very light and thin, nothing to worry about)
-2 x AAM-3 = Sidewinder like missiles (no paint)
-5 x Mk82 GCS-1 LGB = bombs in the same class of the GBU-12 I suppose. (They already received a first coat of green paint, but one more time a thin one)
-3 x JM-117 GCS-1 LGB = I suppose it's a kind of GBU-16 à la Japanese (idem for the coat of paint)

From other Hasegawa 1/72 weapons sets:
-1 x AN/ALQ-184 ECM pod (no paint)
-2 x GBU-10 LGB (no paint)

I hope my offer could interest some of you. If you don't have any of the things I'm looking for but if you do want one of the things I propose, just make an offer, I'm still interested by any exotic decals or any western weapons, even if it will not help me for this GB.

PS: Oh! I forgot! If someone had a 1/72 Hasegawa Harrier II+ he doesn't use, I'll be glad to exchange it against an Italeri V-22 Osprey, a Italeri PAH-2 Tiger (could looks cool in Japan Navy colors!) AND/OR a Italeri HH-60H Seahawk.
I propose that because it was the three other possibilities I envisage for this GB, but finally decline.
So, as I won't do them in Japanese markings, i'll be glad to offer them to someone who will really use them!!

I know it is a HUGE list, but I did it so long in order to have a possibilities as I can! Even if I can have only the decals or the belly tanks, I'll be happy! But as I have models and weapons I won't use, I thought it's better to propose for exchange as much things as I can, hopping it'll make someone happy! :P

I don't have any Hinomarus spare, but I have plenty of F-4 and F-15 squadron markings - let me know what squadron you want and I'll see if I can help.

Give me a day or two, but I think I have a sheet from a Hase 1/72 F-1. I'm sure I can spare a couple of F-15 tanks, hase puts 4 of them in the 1/72 kit :)

Wooh!! I still love this forum!! Thanks you too for your quick answers!

Well... i just don't know a single thing about JASDF squadons!!
So, I have to trust you ;)  Wich markings do you think can fit good on a 1/72 Eurofighter Typhoon??
By the way, I'll try to do some research about JASDF units ;)

Thank you for that Hatchet!!  ;)

For both of you (and other peoples who can help me): is there anything I could send to you in exchange?

Well, if you want to do your Typhoon as an anti-shipping bird, then it would be an F-1 replacement so you're probly better off getting those decals off Hatchet.  For your Harrier, I suggest you check out the first post in my T-4 thread in the JASDF GB, there's a photo of the 2 decal sheets I have, just tell me which one you think looks the coolest  B)

On the left sheet, there are plenty of squadron markings and serial numbers that look very good, for example the ones with a flying eagle (I just can't see the others very good due to the poor quality of my screen)! Do they fit on a 1/72 Harrier tail?? (Are they 1/72th?)
It is for a plane operating in time of crisis,so I don't want something too big and too much high-viz, you see what I mean?

Whatever, if you want to send or exchange me one of those decals, send me what you want, I have no real preferences and it's already cool enough to send me those decals, I don't want to be too demanding
^_^

For the Typhoon, I think you are right. As they will operate as a F-2 enforcement (and so F-1 replacement), I think F1 markings is the better way to do.

Ah yes, serial numbers....I think I need to start a separate thread on that.  JASDF ones are quite unique.

I think the eagle will be a bit big for a Harrier tail (its designed for the Phantoms big old fin).  PM me your address and I'll send you some small markings of my choice ;)

PM send! ;)

Thank you for the help! You're right for the Eagle, it is probably too big for an operational Harrier.
For this bird, I'll chose small markings and roundels I think.

Ok mate, found the decals (and the tanks, but that was never a problem). I've been trying to find a picture of the decals, but so far it has eluded me. I think, however, that they are from kit C3 which is this one. There's three different squadrons on it and decals for three different aircraft. It's yellowed a bit tho'. However, I also have this sheet, if that's more interesting to you :)

Let me know what you want mate. You want both of them?
