Chaps,

Scour the recesses of your encyclopeadic brains, and tell me if USN T-33Bs ever received USN Tactical Grey colours?

Please say yes and point me in a direction appropriate.
Thanks,

Terry

Cheers Geoff.
I've got a photo of a VX-4 T-33B in allover grey with rather nice trim, also the white and orange ones, dayglo ones and natural metal ones.
I know a number of USAF T-33s were given the F-16 scheme (Oregan ANG) and some in the Pacific theatre a light grey/mid grey scheme (like on ANG A-7Ds) but as for USN???

Just fancy building one....it'd certainly raise eyebrows...did it, didn't it?
If I can't find a reference...I'll bullshit one anyway

The squids didn't have their T-33s for very long.  Since they didn't use them as trainers as the AF did, they didn't stick around long.  The tactical camo came along in the early to mid-1980s, by which time the T-birds were looooooooong gone from USN service.

The Canadians flew them in their tactical grey scheme, and there was at least one ANG example I know of painted in an F-16 style camo (Oregon ANG IIRC).
