Alright, here's my attempt.  Considering that it's ready for the paintshop means I should hopefully finish this for once.  It's the ol' Matchbox Alpha Jet which was based off the mockup.  Added little tailplanes (is that what they are?) to the ends of the horizontal stabilizers, sawed the wingtips off to add missile rails (need to add little "fences" there to hide the difference in the thickness of the wings vs rails), flattened the nosetip (will be adding a laser seeker to the nose).

I haven't decided on the paintscheme yet.  Maybe gray and white or something, to blend in with the Alps that it'll be darting back and forth from.

Backstory to come.

Oh, I've also added some strakes to the nose.  Makes it look more fierce

And a blade antenna.  Gotta have blade antennas to make it look faster.

I'll be adding four pylons for rockets and bombs.  Maybe a gunpod.  Hmm, I wonder if I could get away with a GPU-5/A Pave Claw?

Love it!!!

The poor little AJ didnt stand much of a chance against the Hawk....makes you wonder what it would have been able to grow into without the Hawk around.

I really like what you've done with the tail.  Gives it a 'Captain Scarlet' look to me.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I like what I see so far Tom!  I don't know why but all these little trainers are so sexy, like sportscars!

I like your thinking, although it looks kinda cool with the red wings and white fuselage - I reckon that would work for a Swiss special scheme B)

Yeah, me too.  Loving my little Hawks, now I want to get me some 1/48 Hasegawa T-4s  B)

Well enjoy it while it's still red and white, I'm gonna camo it up!  Wouldn't do good to be seen darting in and out of the mountains during wartime.

To show that I really do intend to finish it withing the time period, here's proof of progress.  I might redo the top paint later (a little too much green in the center I think) and after the Future's done I still need to spray the bottom silver.  Hopefully the enamel silver will cure quickly.

Nice camo paintjob Tom! It's got a rough look to it which adds to that "ready-for-a-fight" look! I'm enjoying watching this one!

Dios mío!!! :o

Tom, that's a beauty!!!

What's on the nose? It looks menacing, like a supersonic phillips screwdriver tip!!

What are you going to hang on the wings?

Great model, so far

Well I'm done!  I didn't have time to put any more in-progress shots in-between.  Backstory on the completed entries page.  Rafael, the nose was modified to fit a laser seeker nose.  Unfortunately I was too tired at the time of photography to make adjustments to the camera in order to get a proper depth of field setting, so the nose is a little blurry.  I'll take some new shots later.  Anyway here it is.

Wow!  Looks like a mini-Frogfoot with the aft cockpit deleted.

Love it!

Amazing that a few simple changes make it look so different. Great model
