would you pay £25.00 (US = $51.00) for a twenty-five year old Monogram F-80    ????????? Well good-luck to the seller, personally I'll wait till the Nationals and have a good look around then.... Shakes head in disbelief

No, and I wouldn't even pay that much for a 31 year old Monogram F-80 :)  It came out in 1976!  Phineas T. Barnum was absolutely right:  there's one born every minute.  And most of 'em cruise eBay.

Yep, ebay serves the instant gratification crowd quite well.

As for the resin pit, being as I've heard Black Box can be quite a hit and miss group (I heard their 1/32 MiG-29 pit was quite disappointing) I wouldn't consider that to neccesarily constitute added incentive for bidding.

Anyway, the P-80 is easier to find and looks much better in its T-33 form.

QuoteNot the 72nd Hasegawa one it's not.  What a horrible kit that one is and no mistake.  I nearly threw mine against the wall.
You have rage issues

But seriously, I've seen the Hase T-33 and it looked fine to me.  What was the issue?

Aside from lacking a cockpit to speak of, the Hasegawa T-33 is more accurate in shape and outline than the droop-snooted (and I'm not talking about the RT-33 nose) Heller kit.

Thirty-one years old  :o  - OK, J I stand corrected, but the point remains ! Is it me or did common sense recently take a vacation ??? Enquiring minds need to know.

Lee - I built the Hasegawa T-33 a few years back..... flashy yes, but the fit of mine was OK, given its age.....

Hasegawas T33 is a very old kit,but doesnt make into a bad little replica.  Hasegawa were not always the modelling benchmark they became in later years.
There are worse kits out there. and a lot more modern tooling.
There again youve seen my stuff,I dont really expect that higher standard, hell, I grew up on fit the box Revell and Aurora kits.I just stick 'em together and paint 'em, if they please my eye then there ok by me.

Often, I end up sending messages to the bidders on evilbay, telling them that they are paying more than retail for a commonly available kit...I saw a Polar Lights Seaview go for 75 bucks, and they are 19 at the lhs.
 Idiots.
