Hi Gang,

Here's a link for Valom's latest releases including two Airacuda and two P-75s.  Makes me for a happy chappy, but talk about the wait!!  Upcomings also include the Albermarle bomber and Buckingham and Buckmaster!!

Mav & all,

Yup, them boys at Valom sure are bent!

They're doing stuff that even garage kitters are afraid to touch in resin!  More power to 'em!

I picked up a Valom XFV-1 when I was at the IPMS Nationals.  No, it ain't a Tamiya level rendering but it's worlds better then the old Pegasus kitting of that bird.

I've always liked the Airacuda.  The thing was that unique that it was a real living breathing "What If?" even though it actually was made and took flight.  Over the years I purchased the Rareplanes vacuform version of it then sold that when I found the FE Resin kitting of the plane.  Now that I've got that in hand, of course, some other company would come out with an injection moulding of the beast.  We'll have to see about the quality that Valom renders here.

The Fisher Eagle is gonna be a no brainer.  That's a definite _must_ purchase.

Lotsa goodness coming from the East!

Thorvic,

Yup, I remember reading through that same list some months ago.  Nice to see them making progress on it.

The Brigand is another one that's got my eyes upon it and the concept of having a fully modern kitting of the Hampden is mightily appealing.  That bird is a quintessential bit of pre-war RAF "character" that it's a must have.  And the old Airfix kitting of it just doesn't do it justice.

Bring on the Eagle!  I'm feeling SEAC on that one.......

The Brigand made me very happy when they announced it a few months back. Bout damn time someone did that in styrene.

A new Hampden is loong overdue.

For some reason, I keep thinking that a P-75A with 20mm cannon, instead of .50-cal machine guns, would look most excellent.

Given the Eagle used P-40 wings, would 20mms have been an issue?

Well that's another couple of resin kits replaced by plastic  :D

Really looking forward to the Brigand

I'm definitely getting the XP-75 but as I've already got a FE Resin P-75A I don't think I'll buy the Valom one.

Well, I for one am chuffed, having done a profile on this ship.

I've been waiting for some time and now here's a review on the kit from Scott over at Modeling Madness.

How about an IJN Ta 183 vs. a Luftwaffe Me P1101? In 1/144 scale no less?
