Went fishing, came home with a model.

Did they bite in the end?
Unfortunately no, smaller  fish  probably  trout and perch  kept stripping the flesh off the dead baits,  I  don't think that there is any crayfish in there. They  kept  picking up the  baits and dropping them,  which was annoying.  Nevermind,  it got me out of the house for two  nights and the  scenery is  amazing up there.

My only experience with a Valom kit is their Lockheed XFV-1 Salmon.  Are all their kits that bad?

Their early kits are "challenging" to say the least. However they have steadily improved the quality and their more recent ones are "fair to middling". They take a little work, but they are buildable. I'm currently working on their Fokker T.V which is a 2015/16 tooling and is buildable, but you need to take your time with it.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

You should have seen Airmodel's vacform of the same aircraft!  :banghead:

On second thoughts, perhaps you shouldn't bother................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Valom one's also better than the Pegasus XFV-1 kit too.

Which kit is notable for being the ONLY one in the world having my name on it.

(I helped Chris Gannon with some references for it, NOT for making it more, or less, accurate I might add.)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Interesting, I'm going to give the one I have a closer look  ;)

I've got a similar story, my name appears in one of Tony Buttler's books, in the acknowledge section. The one and only time for me ---

It's on the side of the box IIRC.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hmm, I'm thinking Caribou-a-like, dart turbprops, tricycle gear and a stretch.  A quick search on Secret Projects shows Scottish Aviation were thinking in the same lines.

Of course they are! I have only been after a Williams Brothers C-46 like forever, finally getting it a few months ago.
Sod it - I have testfitted the Williams editions, and it'll be fine.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Does your C-46 have plastic or rubber tyres Mr. Pellson?

I bought one YEARS ago, and as usual haven't finished it yet, but it had rubber tyres (I think....) and they all turned to dust. :(

Plastic, but as I always build wheels up, I won't use them. Do you want them?

Yes PLEASE!

That'd be very generous of you, thanks a lot.
