First of all, congratulations to all who entered and finished.  Once again I was stunned by just how good a model can be built by you guys in a week.  Virtually everyone who voted said how hard it was to pick a winner, and on another day they could have chosen a different 3.  To emphasise the toughness of voting, 16 of the 21 entries received votes, and in recognition of this I decided to list the top 10, in reverse order.

10th (6 pts)  B777LR and his Finnish Mig-29

9th (11 pts)  Falcon and his Swedish Me-262

7th= (16 pts) Brian da Basher and his KoreaKat

7th= (16 pts) Nev and my Japanese Hawk (please note I was never eligable to win the GB, being the host, but thankyou to everyone who voted for me anyway).

6th (21 pts) BlackOps and his Japanese La-5

5th (31pts) McGreig and his Mig-3 floatplane

4th (34pts) Cthulu77 and his Urban Enforcement Vehicle

Now to the podium finishers

3rd (36 pts)  Supertom and his Swiss Alpha-Jet

2nd (50 pts) Joncarafelly and his LA SWAT APC

But the clear winner, with a whopping 17 1st place votes (out of 41 voters)....

1st (108 pts) AeroplaneDriver and his FAA A-4 Skyhawk

Congrats Nick!   PM me your details and I shall send you a suitably one-week themed prize

In closing, may I also add how gratifying it was to see so many people completing GB's here for the first time - including a few old timers like ST and JF ;)

Congratulations one and all, and see you all again next year for the 4th annual One Week Group Build, August 8th-17th 2008

The toughest groupbuild ever to vote for, I do believe...a massive amount of really fantastic work, and that skyhawk is certainly an eyecatcher !
  to all !

At last!!!

Thank God!!!

I've bitten my nails off waiting for this outcome!!!
And it was a very tough choice to make. Every whiffer presented jobs of quality and I am very pleased with every entry.

Congrats to every winner and every participant for their wonderful models!!

Way to go, guys!  Congrats to everyone who entered, and especially AD!  That is one nice Skyhawk.

And thanks to Nev for running this GB.   :salute:

I'll go ahead and get next year's on the schedule!

Congratulations Nick!

Thanks to all who voted for my pimped APC. 2nd on my first completed GB is very cool.

I took the beastie to the Seattle-IPMS meeting last Saturday, the responses were positive.
I put forward the notion of an anything-goes one-month 'What-If?' build challenge to el Presidente (Braincells37) . It may happen.

Cheers, Jon

Congrats to all the weiners !

I knew ADs bird was too nice...that's why I didn't vote for it !

:P

And thanks to Nevster for this GB....awesome stuff. Pretty amazing what we can achieve in such a short time. I'm thinking how cool a 1WGB/SSGB combo might go. Pick an a/c type like modern fighter jets or something.

Wow.   I don't know what to say.   :o

Thanks to all who voted for my build and more importantly thanks to all the other builders who made it so hard for me to pick three favorites.  Being selected as the favorite (notice I say favorite, not best) among this group feels like quite an honor.

I've to say that the prizes should really go to Leigh (I think the original OWGB idea originated with him) and Nev for making this build so much fun.

Thanks Nev for organizing the build that got me back to the bench after too long away!!!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

McGreig

Congratulations to AD and thanks to Nev for organising the GB.

When I joined this forum in February the idea of a one week build seemed completely mad   , but I've enjoyed it (and thanks for the votes and positive comments on the MiG-3   ) and I'll definitely be in for next year's.

A hardy Congrats to all the winners and a special thanks to all the builders for making this GB such a blast! B)  To Nev, thank you for being the Mod!
I'm already looking for next years entry. ^_^  Thanks for letting me be a part of this fun time! :salute:

Congrats to all participants: as I said in other thread, I could vote for, at least, 10.

Honestly
