Sound great to me - i wanted to be in on the P-38 build but work ate me alive (although thanks Bri for tempting me again and again, you wicked man!) and left me no time at all...

The timeline would suit me too, i'm back home in blighty for xmas, and will undoubtedly snare a couple of kits while i am there....and early 2008 means that i will be buying with this in mind (already so many ideas).

Sooo...I'm in.

I think Lancer sounded keen too...

I think I could find something to do for this one.

The honourable gent is correct, I is very interested.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Ok,
I have an extra Monogram X-15 kit that might end up in this but really need to pick up a Lightning kit and try that out.  Need some good sponsors though.

Philp is right - reverse the wings on a Lighting to give you a downward thrust and the record is yours  :D

Porco Rosso's Savoia converted into a landspeed car.    Far from supersonic indeed, but very cool nonetheless.

That looks very similar to Henry Seagrave's "Golden Arrow":

It held the record with 231mph in 1929.

Looks like it belongs in Craig Breedlove's 'Spirit of America' stable.
