Hi All,
This is my first foray into What If? modelmaking. Though seeing some of the work on here is truly inspirational and this will hopefully be first of a few occasional What If's I may do.
So be gentle  .
Its the Freightdog models 1/72 Saunders Roe P.177K Export Fighter.
Its totally outta the box, full resin kit with Vac canopy.
The markings are OOB too.
Really enjoyed this and made a nice change not to get too hung up on details and getting it right. The tail mounted pitot is simply a sewing pin CA'd into a drilled out hole. Paints are all from Tamiya acrylics apart from the DayGlo on the tanks which Revell enamel.
Any questions , feel free to ask.
cheers,
Mike

ps: this site was mentioned in the instruction leaflet in the kit, hence my posting here.

Hi Mike, glad to see you found your way over here - you should notice a few friendly faces from ARC & BM.

Great build Mike and sharp photography too!

Have you seen the stunning SR.177 profiles on one of the UK sites? I'll try to put a link in later.

Nice work Mike, welcome to chaos!  Looks good in German markings, smart work you've done on it too.

Spinners, most of those profiles on Joe's site I did & were originally posted on this very site:
http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...\.177&st=0

Here's a few more I've done, they're scattered so I'll post them again here:

JASDF, based on an unusual F-104 scheme.

IAF desert scheme, hypothetical squadron

Venezuelan Air Force, Group 11 scheme

Venezuelan Navy, hypothetical scheme

Great Khanate, hypothetical super power from the Star Trek 'Great Khanate' thread

Hmm, realise from looking through my old thread, I promised RN & International versions, forgot all about it.  May get around to them in the not too distant future, but I'll not hijack Mike's thread anymore!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hey, Mike, nice to see you over here, nice 177. Good to see another one built.

many, many thanks for the warm welcome guys and for the kind words.
I always thought it was a gamble doing What If? models, due to the criticism that can be lathered on. Then again, if it never existed, who's right eh?

I am undecided what to do for my next project, so much temptation and inspiration from the other models on display in this forum.

cheers,
Mike
