What if Hispano Aviación got licence to manufacture Fw-190D and in 50s, faced with lack of Jumo engines, they decided to equip them with Napier Sabre?

Raw materials: TYPHOON

I got this, bidding in eBay. I recognise that this model is simple and has not many details, but plastic is hard and molding fairly crisp. Two details, engraved markings and no wheel wells.

A note on the brand: Frog/AIR LINES. I think that they distributed Frog models in USA, but I do not think this item was original Frog. Any of you knows about this manufacturer?

Carlos.

Raw material: I do not have to introduce this Airfix model. Do I?

A different take on the Buchon, I like the idea!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The main problem buchón had was weakness of undercarriage. I hope this would be solved with Fw-190. And the extra power will be useful to load stores in the intended COIN/straffing role.

Off the mark in typically swift fashion Carlos - the very best of luck to you on this exciting build!

"Airlines" was the name Frog was initially distributed under in the US.  The kit itself is most definitely of Frog origin, though.

Pity you cant get hold of a matchbox Hawker Tempest, that had alternative engines for a napier and a Centaurus (hmmn Centaurus powered FW-190 might be interesting and fit the time frame <_< )

Looking forward to seeing this build develop  :D

Top idea, although Dora abuse goes against the grain (bit like Spitfire and Wyvern abuse!!) :D  :D

I think Centaurus is a great idea, but using a Fw-190 A or F model and, perhaps, adding that section D version had in aft fuselage.

Great idea - wish I'd thought of it.

Wow this is going to be very interesting Ysi!

When you're done grafting the Napier Sabre onto that 190, how about attaching your left-over Jumo onto that Tempest?

I can't wait to see how this turns out!

Centaurus powered 190.

BMW 801: 79" long, 51" diameter, 2,325 lbs.

Bristol Centaurus XI: 55.3" diameter, 2,695 lbs, can't find a base length measurement, anyhow it varied with accessory setup.

Probably want to start with an A/F/G model and add the extended tail from a D.

Or just do an FW 190 with the BMW 801TJ turbo-supercharged engine (3,542 lbs):

He, he, he. I see you are, at least, as perverted as me. I am thinking of it for my Invencible Air Force thread    In English (no RAF) markings.
I think it would look crude, rough, archaic, ... hummm
