QuoteTank's people had already looked at the TJ and rejected it.  It was a pretty compact engine and caused no end of maintenance problems on the Ju 388.
I'm aware of the history and the problems.

Similar to the 3rd Sea Fury prototype, I think.

That looks so right it's scary, Carlos! The new engine really looks like it belongs. You've got some incredible talent to be able to blend it in as seamlessly as that.

Now that's looking relatively sleek with the new ventral intake.  Keep going Carlos!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Top notch - have you tried a 4-bladed prop? :D  :D

Here the real history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polisario_Front

Alt history: In late 70s, Spanish democratic Government decides to help Polisario Guerrilla in its fighting against Moroccan Army, but in a very limited way. Thus an Expeditionary Low Profile Corps is sent to Algerian bases. The air force section of this Corps is consituted by all surviving Buitres with land and air crews (all volunteers). So these old aircrafts finish their service days in CAS operations.

Very Piper Enforcer!
I've not been to this thread for a while and had no idea the end product would look like this.  To be honest I was expecting a chin radiator, but this is much nicer.  Would be  interesting to see how much a 4-bladed - or contra-rotating - prop would change its appearance.
Well done  ;D ;D
