hi
here is my dromader from Andrea.its with an old zviezda figure modified to a rider.some parts are new made some from spare box.
I have seen an article some years ago (this one is build around 1997...and "rediscovered" some weeks ago!!) and build two of them for an exhibition....murphys law...as it was finished it crashed and one was definitely destroyed...
hope you like it

That's some absolutely superlative work, Wolfik! I think figures are one of the toughest modelling genres to get right and you've really brought this one to life! A blue-ribbon winner in my book!

Yeah I like this!  Modern infantry mounted on an animal rather than a vehicle, gives a bizzare look, but I do like it.

I've been thinking about a figure painting GB as it's something I'd like to have a go at, hmm, new thread coming up!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Nice spin on an old figure concept...love it !

GTX

Great concept and brilliant execution! Is there a backstory?  Do you want one?

Very cool.  Definitely thinking outside the BMP.

All he's missing is an SVD strapped to the saddle. . .

A plausible back story might be something along the lines of restructured Naval Infantry units patrolling the southern borders. . .

Mike Wren

very nice model! didn't some of the US special forces first into Afghanistan in 2001 use donkeys?

wolfik

the soldiers patroling the pipelines in the "new republics".
horses dont managed the heat and water shortage during the exhausting patrols.
I included to the one the dragunov svd and an AK74 w.PN51 and GP25 to the other but after the accident only parts are left
maybe I will complete the second figure again and will make a dio with a pipeline?
or other scenario would be interesting too :)
any ideas?

Absolutely amazing work Peter. I wish I had those kind of figure painting skills.
