I will be doing a 1950 era fighter-bomber, based on a P-39 Aircobra! The engine has been replaced with one from a spitfire, wings have been replced with a clipped wing spitfires wings, and ill be fitting a V-tail :D Pictures soon!

Any suggestions?

Wow this one's got a ton of potential, Trip 7! The P-39 seems a natural as a base kit for a porject for this GB. I'm really going to enjoy watching your progress.

Awesome concept dude! I liiiiiiiiiiike!

I'm seeing......French? Perhaps what Fouga produced before they found that adding a coupla jets would make a cool wee trainer.....In Algeria operating as fighter cover for the Fennecs..... B)

I dont like that idea zac. I love it! It screams fouga (magister)!

:tornado:

Shall i fit it with wingtip fuel tanks? (ala P-80?)

Update:
While removing to rear canopy to fit it properly (it was offset by 3 mm to one side), it shattered :(  I set about finding a replacement, and settled on fitting part of a droptank on the rear, and painting a canopy for a 2nd pilot/navigator. Canopy will be painted black. PSR is done on the nose, all i need is the wing-fuselage join, and the tail. (and i need to do something about the propeller). Painted brown to find faults in the PSR:

Coming along veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery nicely my man! Re P-80-style tanks, I think yes - as long as you change the u/c to inward-retracting...but in the end it's your build...

Like I say, looking good!

Thanks for the nice comments, as for the inwards retrecting landign gear, your right, it would look better, but since im doing it wheels up, it probably wont be visible
