The ideas easy, take two models & swap the markings & camo over.  That simple. You could closely match kits & have people scratching their heads.  If you take it further away than you could have some very different looking models.

When I orignally mentioned it on one of Radish's threads, I talked about aircraft but it dosen't have to be.  Tanks, Racing Cars, even ships.  If you want to go really nuts, swap between genres!  The possibilities are endless, it can be as sober or mad as you want it.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

You mean like swapping markings 'tween a Jaguar GR.3A and a Jaguar XKE?

Eastern Airlines markings on some Rooskey airliner, Braniff on a Comet, Aeroflot on a 707, and BOAC on a 737-100?

A Ford Mustang in BMF with a yellow hood and invasion stripes on the roof and behind the doors, and P-51 in Ford yellow with black stripes on the wings.

A haze-gray Chevrolet Corvette and a bright yellow navy one?

A delivery van in Euro-1 and a C-141 in UPS green?

I'd been thinking myself purely with aircraft, such as swapping an F-111 with a Fencer, but you guys have got me thinking along crazy lines now!

Porsche 911 with a King Tiger (Porsche turret).  Hmm, King Tiger in Jagermeister orange!
Volkswagen Beetle/Bug with a Super Bug.  Hornet No.53 in white with blue & red stripes!
Thunderbird 1, 2, or 3 with Thunderbirds F-16!

QuoteShelby metallic blue and white GT stripes

Blue with white stripes is not unique to Shelby, rather it is one of the variations of the 'official' US racing colours. White with blue stripes is the other. The first use of the stripes is generally credited to Briggs Cunningham in the early '50s.

Currently I have Flying Machines Re.2005 under way to be completed as a Scuderia Ferrari racer in rosso corso and a Tamiya D.520 ready for an application of French Blue. Just need to get painting.

That's hot a bad idea, Dork. When I send a kit off to someone on the board, I usually swap the markings that came with it for something from my decal stash. I figure that compels them to make it a whiff.

Heh, I do that (the alternate decals thing) mainly because I've either 1) misplaced the originals or 2) used or will be using the originals for one of my builds

Well, if you want to stick to British classics, how about either a Hunter or Lightning?  High gloss of course with white stripes!

Nah, a Jaguar, of course.  Say marked as an XK-D racer?
