Ok, I hope you like this. It's my first offering in quite a while as I've been suffering from a virus that's left me with partial sight in my left eye. I know the build is a bit rough and ready but given the circumstances, I'm quite pleased with it!  ;)

Kit is the horrible PM offering, decals are from the spares box (Trumpeter Gannet). I used the RNHF colour scheme as is and tried to make it look well worn.

EDIT: I just noticed that I appear to have lost the tail hook to the dreaded carpet monster!

Never mind the circumstances, that is very well done ! Period.

Love the colour scheme.....and she does look used and abused.

Now if we could just build a time machine to go back and watch these monsters take-off and alight back on the old carriers....man, what a sight that would be !

Well done, Seavixen! An absolute crackerjack model! I think you achieved that used look wonderfully. I also like the rear canopy. Recycled from a P-51? Two thumbs up!

Thanks for the kind words guys, much appreciated.

Brian da Basher, the canopy is as supplied with the kit, although I left it soaking in Future for a while to improve its appearance.

Intentional or not I like the weathered NMF look. a nice build.

The Rat

Fantabulous! Looks so 'right' it could fool most people.

And keep exercising that eye, porn is good. (Oops, was that out loud?)

Thanks peeps! Sadly I gather the eye problem is permanent so just gotta get used to using the one eye now. I'll be okay once I've learned to stop walking into things on my blindish side!!

sorry to hear about the eye problem, I know what it's like to loose the sight in an eye, horrible and scary at the same time. I was fortunate enough to get my sight back. I sincerly hope that things get better for you in that respect.
As far as the Fury is concerned....AMAZING!!! well thought out and superbly put together.

It's not a very nice thing to have happen but as they say, things could have been much worse.

Now I have to decide what creation to tackle next!  :P

Awful news about the eye.  I know it isnt much consolation, but I knew an airline pilot who lost an eye in an accident and was back flying professionally after 3 years.  He said you get used to it and your brain finds ways to accomodate.

If that is the kind of thing you build on one eye, then I'm sure your hobby won't suffer too much!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....
