Awful news about the eye.  I know it isnt much consolation, but I knew an airline pilot who lost an eye in an accident and was back flying professionally after 3 years.  He said you get used to it and your brain finds ways to accomodate.

If that is the kind of thing you build on one eye, then I'm sure your hobby won't suffer too much!

I'm reminded of the Northrop test pilot who was in the M2F2 when it crashed.  He lost an eye due to infection acquired while in the hospital (it hadn't been injured in the crash) and continued to fly for pleasure.  He couldn't be a test pilot anymore, but he was quite a good engineer on cockpit layout and design and flight test analysis.

I'll definitely concur with AD's opinion of your work.

See, that's where this country has gone wrong - we just don't have people with these kinds of great names playing for England anymore.  And/or representing England at another international sport, and/or being a world reknowned expert in mountain climbing/philology/stamp collecting etc

Nor do the England cricket team have such people as Raman Subba Row, a man who made Colin Cowdray look slim. Where have these giants gone?
Obviously they don't get fed enough steamed pudding nowdays.

Can you imagine a Sea Fury with Subba Row in the back and Cowdray in the front?

We could run a book on whether it'd attain lift off

On a more serious note, my bro-in-law has been legally blind in one eyer for years.....and he's gotten along great ! Other than the fact that he's a terrible driver. But in all truth, I think he's actually improved since !

LMAO- I actually DID that when I was wearing an eye patch after the operation to clear my eye of residual gunk. I just couldn't find a decent pirate suit to dress up in, they were all kiddies size..major bummer.
