the P-51 Mustang never gets a Merlin, so the P-38 & P-47 are used solely as escort fighters (later with P-47Ns over Berlin...), the P-39 & P-40 soldier on in NW Europe in the ground attack roles

kit is Hobby Boss (don't forget the nose weight!), decals & rockets from Academy P-47 Razorback

Nice.  Be nice to see it in a Advanced landing strip somewhere in France setting.

Very nice, and should be an ideal Bushwar plane postwar

Cool cool COOL!!!! Man, this is really one of those "now why didn't I think of that?" builds.

Nicely done mate! Love those markings on a 'cobra.

Those rocket tubes are an excellent addition. Looks very much the business!

Nice!! Great job and very plausible.

What's the kit like to build?
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

Looks good - and the Russians liked the P-39!

Very cool.  The Airacobra was a much under-appreciated plane, I think.

thanks chaps, the Hobby Boss kit is quite nice, the wing root join isn't too great but the walkway decals fit against it to cover the step. and don't forget the nose weight as it's not mentioned in the instructions (I had to squeeze in extra throught the nose bay. other than that nothing major, and it looks like a P-39!  ;)
