Nev, this really is a beautiful model, You did a great job touching up the decal flaws and I have faith in your ability to recover from the fumble  ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Very nearly there!  Spent 3 hours last night putting the undercarriage on.  Very detailed, but also very fiddly and intricate.  Got there in the end.

These will be the last pics before finishing - a few decals to add, some detail parts to add, touch ups and that fracking pitot probe...

Single seat or 2 seat Steve?

There were orders originaly for another 14 F-2B's to equip the Blue Impulse display team which was cancelled due to cost.  That's one I may do if I can get a 1.72 2 seater.

Hey are the letters on the tail for "Toyota Racing Development 1" LOL! Everytime I see TRD on the side of a toyota pickup truck I read it as Turd........this build is as far from that description as you can get

OK, finally done 5 months after I started!  To be fair I had a baby in the middle, and I've put a lot more effort into this than I normally do.  I tried a lot of new things and I'm really happy with how the pilot, gear + bays, and jetpipe turned out.  Unhappy with badly fitting decals and my attempts at touch ups.

I tried to put the broken pitot probe back on, but as well as being sheared clean off, it is also bent at almost 90 degrees at the point of the break.  It would need a bit of work to get it back on and faired in, and even then it would be liable to break off at the slightest contact....so its left off for now :(

Just in case anyone was wondering, I've been showing it on here because despite not being a whiff, it belongs with the What If SIGs evil step-sister the R&D SIG.

And thanks to Thorvic for the heads-up on 1/3 off at Hannants
