Those are some great looking rocket tubes! I like your idea of using the decals. Nice work!

AFAIK Stores are not mixed on TER/MERs due to the 'accidental' throw away factor, if you want to do mixed stores a 3-station pylon would be a better choice. BTW, will the landing gear door clear the innermost rocket pod?

Good thinking with the decals, I like the way the rocket pods came out :)

The decals I'd ordered finally arrived the other day, and I've started applying some of them. Here's a couple of photos. Still plenty more little decals to go.

I checked and it looks like it will clear. But I might leave off the innermost pods anyway though just for aesthetic reasons.

Thanks Brian! Im just trying to figure out where to put some of the "nose" art, seeing as I've run out of room on the nose. I'm also not sure what to put on the inside of the tails.

This is very cool.  Another contender for the "Wish I had thought of it" pile.

A few more pictures of where I am now with this project. I think I've pretty much finished with the decals now.

I decided to put the nose art on the sides of the engine intakes. I also added a few decals to the forward fuselage.

That just looks soooo right!

Really outstanding work, and in a scale that sends me straight to the bottle!

I wanted to get in before the thread goes away and say great model, really inspired me to work on my tomcat. And also great photography, that model doesn't look 1/144, and a lot of that is wonderful macro pictures.

Rafael

Very convincing. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of this 'Cat

The noseart-turned-inlet-art is a great idea.

Is that a Spooky cartoon figure behind the canopy right side?

Awesome. and in 1/144!!!

Thanks for the responses guys!

Rafael, I'm not exactly sure what the red thing is behind the canopy. All the nose art came from a F-105 sheet, the red figure was from the same jet as all the other art.

Thanks for the compliment tinlail. All these photos are taken on my little coolpix point and shoot. I have a DSLR, but I still can't find/afford a lens that will allow me to do closeups like these.

The red thing - are we talking about the ejection seat warning triangle, or that oriental artwork looking thing? I'm liken where this is goin. . . .
