But I have bought some Aggressor scheme decals for the F-5 that'll be bonzer on an F-104C
Not white, though.

BUT, an all-white F-117 in a nice glossy RAF finish would look terrific.
Thanks to JHM for suggesting that, and I shall build one.

Dork my old chipper, you're confusing the F-117 with the Armstrong-Whitworth "Slug" of similar appearance, that had a pink primer coat as it was constrructed from 2" x 1" and chipboard. ;)

There are at least 3 yet to be mentioned:

The Hawker Phantom GR.2b cooperatively developed with McDD sporting Hawker signature tail and wing planforms  (rather than the F4-J(UK)

The prototype Avro P.Skyray featuring a revised wing leading edge to enhance stability and a Brit engine in it (rather than the Douglas Skyray)

And the Supermarine Voodoo P.1955 featuring one upgraded engine, some revised wings and stabs (rather than the XF-88).

Isn't cross pollination great?

All white would look absolutely fab.

The Pope's He-111 was also white gloss, but with stained-glass windows and "Popair" markings.

Gripen with the canards reshaped to a more crescent shape, the nose gear raised up a scale foot or foot & a half, the tail painted a lo-vis Swedish blue/yellow and the rest white.

Airfix Red Arrows Hawk + NeOmega parts + all white and lo-vis RAF markings.

A very rusty, stained Fiat 500F that was formerly all white?  :D

The Revell/Monogram Rafale would likely take the color well also.

Or a Mirage IV?

Daryl, I love the idea of rusty white aircraft, it'd work for a museum bird neglected through lack of cash, or a retired aircraft used as an airfield decoy too.  Also, how about a post apocalyptic scenario, lines of aircraft that didn't get off the ground before the fires came, looked upon by the last remaining humans???

Anyway, Christmas day tommorrow, so how about snow covered aircraft!!!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Like you, Mossie, I'm turned on by the idea of rusting, derelict white aircraft carcasses.....

Lightnings, TSR2s, Victors.....the list could be endless.

Also, lots of designs can be tweaked and painted white for the PLAAF...

Intercepted by RAF MiG-21's or Su-15's???  Didn't Gekko do a profile for a RAF MiG-21 a while back? B)

EDIT, sorry, I meant escorted by RAF MiG-21's/Su-15's!  Thinking of the opposite, intercepted by Soviet Lightnings??? B)  Bare metal, red stars & bort numbers!!!

There are at least 3 RAF MiG-21s in this thread.

Mossie,

The rivets used by the Soviet bloc countries are hugely prone to rusting.   Perhaps the Russians had Su-15's, MiG-17's, or MiG-21F-13's or even Su-7's that were all white?   Those would rust up tremendously  allowing one to age an airframe nearly as much as a Navy ship.

Perhaps the new-tool Revell MiG-21F-13 will have to get back dated to the 1st run MiG-21F with the very narrow tail and get a white scheme + time + abandonment treatment.
