Hellfires sounds right Cap, but call them Brimstones     Door guns for sure, one of them should be at least a minigun though.

Super sexy....even without  the leafy roundels !

I need to touch up the grey, tho....I didn't prime this baby and paint started peeling off with the mask....in all the same places as I was touching with my greasy little fingers.

Damm, they are looking good.
How did you achieve that brilliant little lightning flash down the side of the yellow bird??

Great works Cap,  the Merlin in Canadian service was supposed to be called a Petrol or Chimo (not sure what that is)

Wow, these are both beautiful, Todd.
How do you mask the little fuselage windows without wrecking them?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Captain Canada

Thanks, Baz ! The RCN one is absolutley beautiful now that she has most of her markings on.....just wait and see the photos. Assuming I actually figure out how to take some proper ones.....

As for the windows, I just used micro-mask. Worked awesome !

Do Canada actually use the grey/red, or did you just pinch the scheme from the RN?

Looks great either way  B)

Sales of Airfix kits plummeted in the 1980s, and GCSEs had to be made easier as a result - James May

Captain Canada

Pinched it from the RN, Nev. Just to cool to say 'no' to !

Confuscious (maybe)

Captain Canada

Sorry, Ian...no 'real' updates to speak of. I've glues the wheels on, and am working on the rotors tonite. Other than that, they both pretty much look the same. But don't you worry......I should have them done and photographed for the SAR GB deadline of the *gasp* fifteenth !

Murphy's Law :

I was holding the RCN bird up in the air by it's rotor hub, with a pair of still-wet fingers from the decals I had just applied, wondering to myself " is that overkill ? Is that last decal just a little to much ? " when 'fooosh' she dropped out of my hand, bounced on the tabled and came to grief on her side ! Bloody dangerous, them landings at sea, I tell ya.....

Anyway, the landing gear has just been glued back on and hopefully it'll stay there !
