        VERY VERY nice Mr Perri.....hahaha!!!!!

As for this abomination of yours, Mr McG, I am ashamed and disgusted!

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!

I love it dude! Magnificent work! Can't wait to see it finished....it just looks *so* right!

I will eat humble pie and state quite clearly that, even though the Ash-82 Spitfire looks more like Stirling Moss than Kate Moss, it works well and proves a radial Spit can look convincing (so can a radial Hurri too).  Well done - looking forward to the finished product. :D  :D

Did this a couple of months ago:

I used a Bristol Hercules for this profile, & I've got to admit, the Ash-82 gives better lines with it's curved cowl.

Hercules engined Hurri for comparison, again the Omega kit:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Oh man, that  is a lovely looking conversion. It make the spit look a bit more brutal and purposeful and awfully efficient. Superb conversion.

Looking forward to seeing the finished Spitfire and Hurricane - they seem to be brutal, efficient possibilities.

Going slightly slower than I'd hoped, but the painting stage has been reached and the first coat of light grey is on. Unfortunately this has shown up a couple of flaws below the cockpit    where the La-5 nose fairs into the Spitfire fuselage, so a little further sanding will be required before painting progresses.

It looks like a tiddly Tempest!  I like it

So much for having it finished in the next week  <_< Progress is, predictably, slower than expected, but the PSR is now finished and I've moved on to the painting stage.

The darker grey needs a second coat to deal with some ovespray and to even out the tone but I'm happy with it so far.

Quotebut I'm happy with it so far.
I'd be very happy with that too

WOW!! That is turning into a beauty. It makes the Spit look positively lethal!! Looks spectacular in that colour scheme.

Now that's grunty!  The red accentuates the new engine & does hit it hard with the ugly stick!  Which is good, ugly doesn't mean it's not cool! B)
