Hi there again,

well after my first post of that Praying Mantise-thing here's my next one:
I called this "Kingcobra" for obvious reasons. I build that thing many years ago when the LHX competition was at is start. I thought I should design my very own "fightercopter" Single seater, small wings for more lift , 2 big engines for more speed, NO tailrotor! instead what is called today "NOTAR" system and most of all it should look as mean as possible!

So here it is, have fun with it and if you think you have to call me nuts, go ahead with it, I'm already used to that!

If usual if you want to see more of this: www.usns.biz

keep on modeling

Yipes Rene,

That's one nasty looking ship, very tasty indeed.

For a a post, try one of the other parts of the forum that allow files to be added, "Show Us your Current Pic or Workbench" should be a good place.

Regards & Welcome,

Yet another stunner, Rene! I'd say you fit right in!

Usually pictures of your builds should be posted in the "Show Us Your Current Project or a Pic of Your Workbench" topic Here.

You can either directly upload pics from your computer with the "Browse" button at the bottom or use the "IMG" button up top to upload via a non-dynamic URL link.

If you need any more assistance, feel free to ask.

Yours in Moderation,

That's very cool!  Talk about weird coincidences.  I was looking for something over on Wikipedia earlier, and I ran into this nifty illustration.

It's Sikorsky art for a projected armed variant of their X2 project, leveraging off of technology developed by the XH-59 ABC and the RAH-66 Comanche to build a compound rotorcraft.

Another stunner Rene, looks positively lethal.

Oh, MY!!! That is quite tasty!!

Two thumbs up from a resident rotor-buff!

Care to tell us how it was made??

Sangamon

Hey guys,

someone wanted to know hw I did make that thing.

Pretty easy I would say. The whole fuslage as well as the wings and the entire tail were made of solid balsa wood and off course some (not that much) putty. the rootr is made of balsa too. the only plastic parts came from variuos leftover parts like the canopy, did you note 2 front screens and one aft part of something else. the guns came from I don't care where the rotor hub are two halves from some tyre glued togehther with the rotors between. The exhaust nozzles are some metal from parts from I don't care where too, the pilot and the seat are again some leftovers from other kits. and thats it. At the end I simply put on some color and some decals the sharkmouth is handpainted and thats it!

Actually a lot of fun to build something like this cause you don't have to care about authencity and correct markings, camo and so on.  Just sit down let your fantasy fly and start building!

I will post some more aircrafts like that pretty soon on my website : www.usns.biz and off course I will let you know.

Thats all for the moment
have fun
and keep on modeling (no matter how crazy your ideas are at least my fantasy is VEEEEEEEERY strange to me )
