It's good to know that there remains some constants in life......

Ford will (almost) always outsell Chrysler

Moscow will always have snow in November

The Who will always be louder than the Stones

Canadians will always prefer beer to soda water

and

Barry Shrieking Rodent will always be able to turn-out a head snappingingly brilliant piece of What Iffery without breaking sweat !

Now, in the third stage of paint, I've simulated the overpainted past RAF markings on fuselage, tail and wings.  Sounds easier than it was to do (for me, anyhow).

Now you wanna share this technique with the class?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Thanks, guys.  Leigh, I basically used a slightly lighter tint of each base color that was thinned more than usual (I use Testors Acryl paints).  The hard part was treating it like a paint-by-number kit but without a pre-determined outline.  Also, I wanted the end result to not look too "perfect" in terms of shape (I pictured the original markings being overpainted a bit haphazardly) so I was careful to convey the basic shapes being overpainted but not done too precisely.  Hope that helps.

Absolutely! The conversion, the colour scheme, the weathering - everything is spot on.  :o :o  If I'd been paying attention to this, I don't think that I'd even have started my own entry - - -

I've just realised you've missed a trick with this one, JHM.  Why isn't the fgure standing next to the aeroplane wearing spats over his boots?  ;D ;D
PS v nice model.

I can tell you, even though it wasn't finished when I saw it, it looks even better in the flesh.  Some really stunning modeling.
