Hey, what gives?  You guys said you weren't going to do whiff Nimrods when I asked about making decals for them!  Are you now saying I should??

J

I recall it was the fact that most folk would just change a few things like serials or squadrons, and other Nations using them could easily be cobbled together from the spares box, making a dedicated sheet unrealistic. Especially since buying three dozen Nimrod kits would require some one rich or insane, in which case Baz would be both.......

I think outside of us guys you are going to see very few Nimrods whiffed.  The TSR2 screams to be whiffed, even by the mainstream, but not The Mighty Hunter.

I've got one on order from Hannants & I'd love a second one but I'm resisting so far.  I was in Monk Bar Models in York yesterday, there was one hung on the wall, but I managed not to get it down... just!  I would like to do two, one real-world, one whiff but the cash flow won't stretch at the moment.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I picked up my 2 pre-ordered ones today. One as an R1, and the other for the loft to keep the Vulcan, KC-135, Sentry AEW1 et al company.

mine will get wiffed in several years time or i'll wait for the aftermarket AEW.3 conversion,  ;D

I wonder what percentage of these Nimrods which are bought will be made?
I know that having it is almost like possessing the Holy Grail for some, and possession, being 9/10ths  of the law, is an experience obviosly not to be missed for some. But I never liked the damn thing anyway.
good luck to you all who are devotees.
I shall view the contest tables, club tables, etc., with interest.

Hi Terry

I think this time we'll see a few more built as its a popular subject and a very nice kit. Yes hoarding will occur as they will only really be on free sale for the next few weeks as the stock gets distributed, after that its kit traders and ebay only. So those that want them or think they may want one in the future are buying now rather than paying through the nose later !. (i have heard that the reissue time has been set as at least 7 years by which time they may be do an MRA4 instead)

Key one will be to see the trading going on tomorrow at huddersfield, those not looking for Nimrods are likely to get a few bargins as half the crew there will be after Nimrods and decals, leaving everything else for those that dont.

Cheers
